Welcome to Home For The Brave!
This site is dedicated to the men and women who have sacrificed for our freedom. Please remember our
troops and support our veterans. We are the Home of the Free BECAUSE of the Brave! Be sure and check the
troop support page often for legislation updates regarding troops and veterans.
On a personal note, this is my 3rd website, and since this time round, there is no affiliation with a group,
I will take the liberty of including my personal hero,
Sgt. Patrick E. Smith, Jr. - his story is here:

TO OUR SOLDIERS AND VETERANS |
|
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING US FREE |
I watched
the flag pass by one day, It fluttered in the breeze.
A young Marine saluted it, And then he stood at ease.
I looked at him in uniform So young, so tall, so proud, With hair cut square
and eyes alert He'd stand out in any crowd.
I thought how many men like him
Had fallen through the years. How many died on
foreign soil How many mothers' tears?
How many pilots' planes shot down? How many died at sea How many foxholes
were soldiers' graves? No, freedom isn't free.
I heard the sound of Taps one night, When everything was still, I listened to the bugler play And felt a sudden
chill. I wondered just how many times That Taps had meant "Amen,"
When a flag had draped a coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.
I thought of all the children,
Of the mothers and the wives, Of fathers, sons
and husbands With interrupted lives.
I thought about a graveyard At the bottom of
the sea
Of unmarked graves in Arlington. No, freedom isn't free.
Enjoy Your Freedom & God Bless
Our Troops and Our Veterans
This is a Veterans Day Salute - but since yours truly believes EVERY day should be a tribute
to our Veterans....this will be a permanent part of this page...:)
It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It is the VETERAN,
not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom
of speech. It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the VETERAN,
not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the VETERAN, not the politician, w0ho has given
us the right to vote. It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag, who serves under the Flag, ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM. - Author Unknown.
